I will never forget seeing Origin, in 2000, when they played a converted garage venue in Fayetteville Arkansas. Some of the other bands that played that night included Skinless and Vader. John, the drummer, fucking broke a cymbal while playing and I was approximately ten feet from him with my chin dragging the fucking floor. I bought this CD at the merch table. Been loving their madness ever since.
Definitely one of the greatest shows I have ever experienced.

I got to see Origin a lot when they first started out. Even when their recordings were a bit slower, they always nearly double timed the songs live. So basically, they were always just like this: blindingly fast death metal. But they also do slow pace death metal really well, like on Unattainable Zero. I like the new singer. He fits the music well and seems better able to keep up with the pace of the music.
