Imagine if Hawkwind/Pink Floyd/70's disco and extreme/doom metal made a baby. That would be this album, it truly has it all. An absolute gem.

Alice Grimaude Beautiful death/doom record, from a time when Amorphis was still a breath of fresh air in the world of Finnish heavy metal.
Highly recommended for those into progressive rock and death metal. Favorite track: My Kantele (Acoustic Reprise).

Morts I guess Elegy would be considered the breakthrough album for Amorphis, a pivotal moment in the band's career. The introduction of Pasi Koskinen for clean vocal duties, improved production qualities, stronger focus on melody and greater embracing of traditional Finnish folklore all come together to blow the metal world away and help define new metal genres!
