Sigurd Kveldulf Probably my second favorite death metal album ever. I seen em live in the late 90's with cannibal corpse. I looked at the line up and was like who in the f is nile. I bought this cd before the concert to familiarize myself and had no idea i would end up liking them more than the headliner and yes they blew me away live especially as a young teenager. Going back and buying all their stuff I did have and also the stuff I passed up. This album is very unique and different than other stuff. Favorite track: Stones of Sorrow.

I am your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate I couldn't come up with some witty joke or deep comment to say as I was too busy attempting to resurface myself from under a rather dry ocean Favorite track: Beneath Eternal Oceans of Sand.

Ken Goodey This is the Nile debut full-length with Sanders, Spires & Hammoura and, even though Toler-Wade [Black Seeds…] & Kollias [Annihilation…] are yet to join, this album definitely starts where Nile meant to go on, as a band who would become easily one of the best Tech. DM acts in that entire, saturated genre. There’s a formula for Death Metal and Karl Sanders has never bothered with it. For me, that’s exactly what raises Nile’s music above that of the horde. Favorite track: Ramses Bringer of War.

Артём Булат Probably the best Nile album. Still remmember how I was stunned by this great work at first listen and it's still blows my mind! Favorite track: The Howling of the Jinn.

Jack Butler'75 This was the first Nile album I heard back when they were on tour for this album in '98 and I've been hooked on them ever since. This album is so groundbreaking and unique, different than any other bands around then or now. They basically invented the style and no one can compete with them. Love the rhythms and Middle Eastern angles, the powered up Drop A tuned distortion tone that I I think is just perfect for their style. The drums, all of it. Truly talented and original musicians with great ideas and they're still going. Favorite track: Serpent Headed Mask.
